Mini & Juniors Performance at the
club
Sunday 13th December at 4.00pm
For all the MRC MINIS (their siblings too!), Juniors and Adults
who never
grew up!
£7 entrance inc food
Suzanne Morton (Under 9's) and Ali Clarke (Under
7's and 8's) are organising
the event and need each age group (10s, 11s and 12s) to nominate
a
representative to collect the ticket money and compile a list of
names. No
tickets will be printed (no-one ever remembers them anyway) so
if your names
not on a list you can't come in! Posters will be displayed
in the club this
weekend and age group representatives should contact Suzanne or
Ali via text
or email (below) after each Sunday training session /match with
the list of
names that they have paid. An BIG list will then be
produced for the day.
Members can pay on the door BUT this should be avoided so we can
get a more
accurate idea of numbers (for the food etc.).

The current website you are viewing is
being slowly wound down and amalgamated into a "MRC
One Club" format hosted by Pitchero. Each age group
will have their own pages to update and administer and a nominated
webmaster/mistress who will have permissions to post news,
fixtures, pictures etc. In the meantime, please keep
looking here and the new site at http://www.pitchero.com/clubs/manchester/
to keep up to date with what's going on at our
club.
2009 Festival Montage here
In
case you haven't seen this on our Pitchero site - the perfect
"get happy" preparation for the coming season!
Big thanks to Ann-Marie Booth for pulling this together and
capturing the mood so well.
For
everyone who gave their time to make the Festival happen, and
for everything else that everyone else does within MRC
M&J……this was why!

behind the cross pitch posts (*ST

available again for
those doing TAG - watch this space). |
 |

 |
u12s
- area to side
of over the brook pitch |
 |
u13s
& u14s - share
the cross pitch |
 |
u15s
& u16s - share

Girls,
Jnr & Senior Colts on cross
pitch and over the brook - as you train later there will be
plenty of room!
SUNDAY
6th September:
Our
Club Sponsor Monkhouses will be on
site with various kit bargains ready for the new season and new
school term. Remember that all the MRC "branded"
kit will still come via the club BUT
things like boots, protective gear, non-branded stuff etc can be
bought from them.
Mouth
Guards: From about 10:30 Sykes
Dental will be on hand to take "impressions" for new
Mouth Guards. Too often we see
young players in ill-fitting mouth guards
which can potentially do more harm then good! These are
high quality items at a price (we are
promised) of just £10! My advice is get two because you
are bound to lose/melt one during
the season - expect a big queue so
best to wait in the bar with a drink!
Also
if you haven't done so already don't
forget to check out the Mini
08-09 Season montage on You Tube:

Further to the news of Ian Hilton’s dreadful accident, we have
the unpleasant task of informing you that Ian tragically passed
away at noon on Monday 2nd February as a result of the injuries
sustained.
Ian was an immensely popular stalwart of the rugby club who gave
freely of his time and generous spirit. He will be massively
missed by all that knew him and loved him.
I am sure that all members of all
sections of the club will convey their deepest and heartfelt
sympathies to Ian’s family and do whatever they can to support
them through this extremely difficult time.
We will notify all members of the
funeral arrangements when known.
Regards,
Neil Sykes, Allan Power

Entry Level Referee's Award
- 4 x consecutive
Mondays 6:30 - 9:30pm 2nd, 9th, 16th and 23rd February 2009
This is the essential qualification
required for you to officiate safely. We would like a
representative from every age group NOTE: You do not need to be
a "rugby player" or "coach" to do this award, it doesn’t mean
you'll have to ref every week and we'd encourage all parents and
players over the age of 16 to consider giving this a go and
leaving your coach to coach!
